Frank Augustus Eldredge was born in New York the 3rd of five children of Zoeth Eldridge and Elizabeth Curry. He married Florence Marion Russell in Michigan in 1868 with his surname recorded as Eldridge whereas his headstone shows Eldredge, unlike that of his mother which shows Eldridge. His wife Marion later remarried John H K Saunders in 1882 but was recorded in the 1880 census at Omaha Douglas, County, Nebraska as his wife with three children in the household, Emma age 12, Samuel age 9 and Libbie age 2 all recorded with a Saunders surname.
The descendants Frank used Eldridge as the spelling unlike his siblings.
