Martin Eldridge was a farmer of Overton County, Tennessee. Census records of him in that County from 1860 to 1910 show he was married twice. His first wife was recorded as Agnes in the 1860 census and as Aggie Franklin on the death of his daughter Luvernia in 1934. He married Alcy Franklin in 1868 in Overton County and they were probably sisters.
Martin made a will on 17 Jun 1911, ten days after the death of his wife Alcy, in which his estate was left to his son J M Eldridge and his daughter E V Eldridge (presumably L V Eldridge) suggesting his other children were by then deceased.
Martin may be a son of Zachariah Eldridge.
